IchigoKurosaki (黒崎 一護, Kurosaki Ichigo) is a Human with the exceptional ability to distinguish ghosts. His life changes when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, who gives him his Shinigami powers in order to save his family from a Hollow. He is the main protagonist of the Bleach manga.
-Before Aizen
Ichigo's most recognizable feature is his orange firecracker haircut, a characteristic that has earned him mockery for years. He is quite tall, thin with light skin and brown eyes. He likes to wear tight clothes and tends to wear t-shirts with the number 15 in the design because his first name is a namesake of that number. His sister Karin notices that he has become more muscular since he became a Shinigami. When he is in his spirit form, Ichigowears the standard Shinigami outfit, plus a strap across his chest. This was initially a thick, brown belt used to carry the scabbard of his Zanpakutō, later becoming a red strap. Ichigo'sappearance is reminiscent of Kaien Shiba, the former lieutenant of the Thirteenth Division. After his training in the Dangai, Ichigo'shair is considerably longer and he is noticeably taller, as his friends notice. When Ichigo loses his Shinigami powers, his appearance becomes similar to the one he had before training in the Dangai.

-After Aizen
Seventeen months after the victory against Aizen, Ichigo'sappearance has not changed much, but he has become taller and has grown sideburns. After regaining his powers, Ichigo'sShinigami outfit changed. He wears a thicker strap across his torso, has four vertical black lines on his forearms, and some sort of black stripes tattooed across his torso, wrists and ankles. There are similar bands that differ only in the white ends around his neck, like necklaces. After training at the Royal Palace, Ichigowears his standard black shihakushō, but with a few changes: he has two white shoulder plates meeting in an X shape on his torso that holds his shikai in place. The plate on his left shoulder has three sections adorned with red scales and a white veil with black markings and wrapped around his waist.

Personality of Ichigo
He has always been different from other people, not only because of his physique (since he naturally has orange hair) but also because he sees ghosts. A rather dark, direct, even boorish character, Ichigois very protective of his friends and family. However, his ability to see ghosts and the fact that he has to hide it make him quite reserved. He lost his mother when he was young and feels responsible because she died to protect him while he was trying to "save" a ghost that turned out to be the bait of a Hollow. From this tragedy, he feels a certain responsibility towards his sisters, whom he leaves unaware of the dangers he faces. He has also become much more mature and independent since Rukia's arrival.

In class, Ichigois hard-working, serious and attentive, knowing that his hair color could have made him look like a bad boy if he did poorly, so he does everything to get good grades so that his teachers will leave him alone. In the course of the story, he goes from being an enemy of the Soul Society to being a recognized and respected substitute shinigami. It is difficult to judge his status among the Vizards. His power earns him the respect of most Shinigami, especially the 11th Division, for whom combat power is the only criterion of judgment, and the 13th Division. Others view him with disdain as a lowly outsider.
Skills and abilities of Ichigo
Ichigo is a very powerful fighter, already in human form, where he can intimidate 4 or 5 thugs without any problem, knock out 7 teeth to an individual with a single punch or even send an Arrancar flying with a kick. It must be said that practicing martial arts from a young age helps him a lot and his kindergarten rivalry with Tatsuki Arisawa, one of the most powerful female karate fighters in Japan, has brought him to a high level of hand-to-hand combat.

Despite his innate gift for fighting and his bad-boy looks, Ichigo is still very intelligent and is ranked 23rd (out of more than 100 students) in his class in terms of grades, which shows that he is far from being a fool.
But his most outstanding ability is his ability to distinguish between minds from a very young age. And unlike his sisters who took longer to develop a spirit power, Ichigo started developing a spirit power at the age of 15. This development was enough to attract a group of Hollows, usually attracted to deceased spirits, to take an interest in her soul.
-Spirit Power
Spiritual Pressure: Ichigo's Reiatsu is very powerful. So powerful that even before he got Shinigami powers, he was able to disrupt the perception of Rukia Kuchiki, a fighter trained to fight Hollows and break Bakudô #1 with his strength alone. After obtaining his Shinigami powers, he began to develop an increasingly powerful Power, capable of scaring away Grand Fisher, a Hollow that had been taunting the Shinigami for over 50 years and even after 2 months, scaring away a Gillian, a particularly powerful subspecies of Hollow. After training with Kisuke Urahara and unlocking the release of his Zanpakuto, he was strong enough to lead a unit of 5 individuals to infiltrate the Soul Society and after obtaining his Bankai, powerful enough to challenge one of the 13 Captains. His strength keeps growing throughout the story as he obtains new abilities and the intensity of his fights gets higher and higher.
Infinite Potential: Because of his mixed heritage, Ichigo has no less than 4 ways to use his power. Being a hybrid between Hollow and Shinigami, he has no level cap and can become more powerful as he trains and fights. He also has Fullbring and Quincy abilities which make him one of the fighters, if not the one, with the highest power potential in the Bleach universe. His Hidden Potential makes him one of the 5 Special War Potentials that can thwart the plans of the Vandenreich.
Spiritual Perception: Ichigo is able to perceive the souls around him, and even focus on those of Shinigami of a different nature than ordinary souls. Rukia herself tells us that only the most gifted Shinigami are able to do this.
Shinigami Skills
After having planted the Zanpakutô of Rukia Kuchiki in his chest, he acquired powers of Shinigami where he possesses a black hakama and a Zanpakutô, signs of his belonging and his powers. His Zanpakutô is bigger than the average because he can't control his spiritual power at the beginning.

Hakuda: In addition to his human strength and fighting skills, Ichigo is a formidable fighter with his bare hands, able to outmaneuver 3 Vice-Captains of the 13 Divisions, while they were using their Shikai.
Hohō: In order to rise to the level of Byakuya Kuchiki, Ichigo had to learn the basics of fast Shinigami movement. Although he only uses it instinctively in battle, Ichigo is very fast, able to keep up with Captains or even oppose Espadas.
-Zanpakutō
Initially, Ichigo's Zanpakutō is a sword as large as himself, which he carries on his back. In it, he can concentrate enough spiritual power to outperform Renji Abarai at 20% of his abilities and send back the Cero of a Gillian. After having it broken by Byakuya Kuchiki, he had to undergo arduous and risky training by Kisuke Urahara that allowed him to unleash his Zanpakutō: Zangetsu (斬月, Sharp Moon).

Shikai: Taking the form of a butcher's knife of gigantic proportions or a half moon crescent, this is the initial release but remains completely free as it is unable to return to the original sword form. The strength of Ichigo's sword is powerful enough to surpass Renji Abarai and challenge Kenpachi Zaraki the course of an instant.
Getsuga Tenshō (月牙天衝, Sky-Piercing Lunar Fang): By concentrating enough spiritual power into his saber and spitting out all of the energy accumulated by the tip of the blade, Zangetsu unleashes a torrent of power on the opponent in a flood of light that pierces the heavens.
Bankai: Tensa Zangetsu (天鎖斬月, Heavenly Chain, Sharp Moon): After an accelerated and dangerous process by Kisuke Urahara of obtaining the Bankai in 3 days, Ichigo managed to unlock the second release of his sword. Taking the form of a black katana, this Bankai greatly increases Ichigo's speed while increasing the already great power of the sword. Where other Zanpakutôs increase the power of their sword or bring in other techniques, Tensa Zangetsu just brings a gain in speed as well as the complete release of Ichigo's spiritual power significant to the Bankai.
Getsuga Tenshō: A technique similar to Shikai, this Getsuga Tenshō takes the form of a black stream with a red halo that is the materialization of Ichigo's power into Bankai. He can deploy a much greater power from it than in Shikai.
Alternative Form of Bankai: With the goal of taking down Aizen, Ichigo trains in the Dangai (the in-between worlds) for 3 months that correspond to 1 hour in the Real World in order to learn the ultimate technique of his Zanpakutō, the Ultimate Getsuga Tenshō. Upon returning from the Dangai, Ichigo gained unprecedented strength, able to surpass the final form of Aizen's fusion with the Hôgyoku and resist Hadô #90 with incantation by escaping unscathed. After using his Ultimate Getsuga Tenshō on Aizen, he loses his powers, nullifying his training in the Dangai as well as the physical and spiritual attributes gained from it.
Mugetsu (無月, Moonless Sky): After transforming into Getsuga himself, he gets a new look with long black hair, red eyes, a carapace covering most of his face and upper body, and finally a black robe with black flames escaping from his body. When he concentrates his attack, the black flames gather in his right hand before unleashing a single blow on his target, causing a wave of energy several kilometers long. Aizen in his final form will be completely deprived of his power and would certainly be dead without his gift of immortality.

-Hollow Skills of Ichigo
As a result of his training with Urahara, who almost turned him into a Hollow, Ichigo has a latent Hollow power with a distinct personality that keeps growing as he fights, saving him from death if necessary. It is at the climax of his fight against Byakuya Kuchiki that the Hollow will replace Ichigo and although the latter eventually regained control of his body, the Hollow disrupts Ichigo's powers to such an extent that he asks for the help of the Vizards to control him after an internal fight of more than 1 hour. Following this victory, he acquired the power to drastically increase his strength by wearing a Hollow mask which evolves as he fights.
Following his defeat against the Hollow Ulquiorra which would have been his death without the help of his inner Hollow, this last one replaced Ichigo once again and went on a rampage against Ulquiorra. After that, Ichigo had difficulties to control this power again and following the loss of his Shinigami powers, he will not use these powers before the Millennium Bloody War.
- Fullbringer Form
17 months after defeating Aizen, Ichigo is approached by Kūgo Ginjō who offers him a way to regain his power and protect his friends. Since his mother was the victim of a Hollow's attack, Ichigo possesses Fullbring powers that offer him superhuman powers such as floating or controlling a particular power with an object he is used to using. The object attached to Ichigo is his old Shinigami Replacement badge and by using it, he gains considerable strength.

By combining this strength with his past fighting experience, he becomes able to generate a Getsuga Tenshō. After being betrayed by Ginjō and getting his Shinigami powers back, he combines his Fullbring with them to gain strength in addition to a considerable gain in Spiritual Power.
-Quincy Power of Ichigo
As one of the descendants of this extinct species, Ichigo first awakened his Quincy powers when he was confronted with the Quilge Opie Prison. Unleashing his spiritual power against the prison awakened his latent Quincy Powers and allowed him to break the cage that only Quincies can escape from.
Blut Vene (静血装, German for "Vein Blood", Japanese for "Immovable Apparent Blood"): By passing his spiritual power through his veins, Ichigo becomes able to increase the hardness of his skin and thus his resistance to opposing attacks.
Harmonized Power
After having his Bankai broken during the first assault of the Vandenreich, Ichigo leaves for the Royal Palace to repair his Zanpakutō but his father teaches him his origins and makes a new start combining all his powers in his sword, reforged by Ôetsu Nimaiya, in order to control them all.

Stable Spiritual Power: Where previously Ichigo had difficulty controlling his spiritual power, he now has complete control over it and is even able to make it take on a clear form, something few beings are capable of and which has earned him honors from Yhwach.
